Vietnam
Steel Factory
Project Overview
The steel industry is highly energy-intensive, with continuous power consumption and enormous electricity expenditure that directly increase overall manufacturing OPEX. To reduce grid power reliance, improve on-site energy efficiency, and maximize solar power utilization, a large-scale steel factory in Vietnam launched a rooftop photovoltaic project. Adopting a zero-export operation mode and an intelligent monitoring system, the factory achieves self-sufficient clean power and realizes sustainable low-carbon manufacturing.

Core Challenges
Massive power consumption leading to high electricity operational costs
Difficulty in rationally distributing solar power for heavy industrial loads
Risk of surplus PV power feeding back to the public grid
Complex grid access requirements for high-power rooftop photovoltaic systems
Customized Rooftop PV Solution
Tailored for heavy-load industrial scenarios, this rooftop solar project deploys a 1,165kWp distributed PV system and is configured with 14 units of high-efficiency GT3-125K grid-tied inverters. The inverters are grouped and connected to two independent transformers to balance power output and optimize overall energy efficiency.
The entire system operates under zero-export mode to restrict reverse power feeding to the utility grid. Equipped with an intelligent real-time monitoring platform, the solution dynamically adjusts PV output based on the factory’s real-time load demand, maintaining stable system performance and achieving an ultra-high on-site self-consumption rate.
